Mural Waratah at the Sunrise, 2025
A vibrant mural highlighting the beauty of Tasmania's iconic flower in the city centre. Each side of the mural symbolises different stages of the flower's awakening in the morning. Hidden symbolically in the petals of the Waratah are birds eagerly awaiting the first rays of sunshine to greet it with their song.
Waratah at dawn is my way of interpreting and highlighting the beauty of Tasmania's wild places through the Ukrainian art style of Samchikivka, and I tried to create an invitation to experience it.
